LIVED is a classic coffee table made to dimensions established by the masters of mid century furniture.  It has a very delicate look and feel, yet, hidden below its surface is thick hardwood planking and a solid steel frame. The lightness is a trompe l’oeil created by carefully removing material that is not needed. The wood and steel support each other and are distinguished by color and materiality. The steel legs touch the floor surface with additional solid steel elements that grounds the piece to the earth.
